Barbara Walker, Ming Smith & Lou Stoppard: The Faces of Community: Inviting new ways to understand portraiture, Frieze Masters Talks, October 2024

The annual Frieze Masters Talks were conceived by Shanay Jhaveri and Sheena Wagstaff as a series of conversations entitled ‘The Creative Mind’. Bringing together an intergenerational group of speakers from different cultural contexts, including artists, architects, writers, museum directors, curators and politicians, the conversations explore creative connections across millennia, deliberate on the changing nature of creative production and artistic diversity in the 21st century, and the broad potential for shared sensibilities.
